Key detector and harmony calculator / Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

WE2EASY is a browser-based music tool. The main key, chord and harmony workflow does not require uploading audio files to our server. We may use cookies or similar technologies for basic site operation, analytics, security, language preferences and advertising if ads are enabled.

What this policy covers

This policy describes the browser storage, first-party analytics and advertising technologies that may be used on WE2EASY.

Musical input and audio

The main music tool works from note events generated by the on-screen piano, computer keyboard or an optional MIDI keyboard. It does not require an MP3, WAV, microphone recording or client demo to be uploaded. A short melody used by the harmony sketch remains in the current browser session unless the user records it elsewhere.

Essential browser storage

Local storage may remember language, tool settings, whether the quick course was completed and the cookie choice. This storage is used to keep the interface usable and is not sold.

Optional first-party analytics

Analytics starts only after the user accepts optional first-party analytics. It may create pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers and send the page path, referring domain, browser language, time zone, device category, browser, operating system, approximate country and IP address to WE2EASY's own server. The data is used for aggregate traffic statistics, troubleshooting and security.

Recent visit records are kept for about 14 days. Detailed visitor fields, including IP and device information, may remain for up to 90 days after the last activity before they are removed or reduced to aggregate counts.

Advertising

The current package uses the AdSense account meta tag and ads.txt only for ownership verification; it does not load display-ad tags. Before Google AdSense display ads are enabled, the site owner must configure Google Privacy & messaging or another Google-certified TCF v2.3 consent management platform for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Advertising tags must follow the resulting consent signal.

Your choices

You can reject optional analytics, clear local storage in the browser or contact info@we2easy.com with a privacy question. Because the site does not require an account, analytics records are generally pseudonymous rather than tied to a verified name.
